Engineer 3 - Commercial Division

Job Description Summary

The Engineer 3 - Commercial Division provides advanced level electrical design and Building Information Modeling coordination on a wide variety of complex electrical design projects. The Engineer 3 will interact and collaborate within the Design-Engineering department, various departments within the company, and other partners outside of the company.

Job Description:

Role & Responsibilities

•Create complex electrical drawings for electrical construction within Revit on a variety of projects under the direction of project managers, general foremen and Engineering Division Manager.
•Create coordinated 3D/BIM models specifically for the electrical installation with the assistance of field management.
•Create installation drawings from the 3D/BIM models.
•Facilitate finished product with external customers and industry professionals.

Qualifications And Education Requirements
•Minimum two (2) year degree in electrical construction, electrical design for construction or similar.
•Advanced 3D/BIM modeling experience using Revit.
•Excellent planning and organizational skills.
•Ability to exercise independent judgment.
•Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
•Excellent time management skills.
•Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
•Willingness to learn new ideas and concepts.
•Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
•Minimum 5 years related electrical design/modeling experience.

Key Skills and Competencies

•Advanced knowledge and experience using Revit.
•Experience using Navisworks
•Experience using Trimble.
•Experience using BlueBeam.

Physical Requirements
•This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
•Employees are frequently required to sit; occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
•This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
•This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
•Employees are regularly required to talk or hear.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay Range:

$112,640.00 - $163,840.00

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
