Job Description
HR Services focuses on multiple administration areas for established HR programs including: personnel records maintenance (job history, retirement and insurance documentation, leave accrual records and details of illness, absences, transfers, and salary progression, etc.); statistical reporting to internal management (employee demographics, skills inventory, absenteeism, overtime, employee turnover) and external agencies (e.g., government agencies, insurance companies). High School diploma or GED, at least 2 years of related experience.
Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects and functions of the Human Resources department. The HR Coordinator performs a wide range of duties within a framework set by HR Leadership to include confidential administrative, operational and project support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Responds to employee, manager, and HR team requests, escalating issues as appropriate through the FreshService ticketing system.
- Communicates clearly, professionally, and with empathy, effectively engaging with employees, managers, and senior leaders to support HR processes, resolve issues, and foster strong, trust‑based relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external clients; answers routine employee questions related to benefits, timesheets, time‑off, and company policies.
- Supports onboarding and offboarding activities for all employees.
- Maintains employee personnel files and ensures compliance with all record‑keeping requirements; manages I‑9 documentation in accordance with federal regulations.
- Assists the HR team with the implementation and administration of HR programs and initiatives.
- Provides administrative support, including processing invoices, generating purchase orders, completing employment verifications, and fulfilling reporting requests.
- Supports data entry, accuracy, and maintenance of employee information within the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree AND
- Three (3) Human Resources Experience OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to clear required background check
- Working knowledge of WORKDAY!

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated customer service mindset, with the ability to remain approachable, patient, and helpful.

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Basic understanding of HR principles, employment practices, or HR compliance (coursework, internships, or prior HR/administrative experience preferred).
- Experience using HRIS, payroll systems, or ticketing tools (e.g., Workday, FreshService) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfort learning new systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to research answers and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

This is a home-based position.
Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the hourly rate range to be $18.84-$23.00 per hour. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
