Staff Platform Engineer (Data & Platform Engineering)
Design and build enterprise-scale cloud data platforms powering critical banking services
Join a high-performing engineering team modernising data capabilities across analytics, fraud and customer insights
Work with leading technologies including Snowflake, AWS, Kubernetes and AI-assisted engineering practices

As a Staff Platform Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and evolving data platforms that support some of the bank's most critical capabilities, including analytics, fraud detection, customer insights and regulatory reporting.
Working within the Data Hosting Platform Engineering team, you'll combine deep technical expertise with engineering leadership to drive platform modernisation, improve reliability and help shape the future of enterprise data capabilities.
You will:
Design and deliver enterprise-grade data platform solutions
Build and optimise high-volume batch and streaming data pipelines
Develop cloud-native solutions using Snowflake, AWS and modern engineering practices
Drive automation, reliability and operational excellence
Improve engineering standards and reusable platform capabilities
Support secure data integration and API-based services
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams
Champion continuous improvement and engineering excellence

We're interested in hearing from people who:
Have extensive experience building enterprise data and platform solutions
Bring strong expertise in Snowflake, ETL/ELT development, data integration and data modelling
Have advanced software engineering skills across Python, Java and SQL technologies
Understand cloud-native engineering practices and platform design within AWS environments
Have experience working with large-scale database technologies including Oracle, PostgreSQL and Snowflake
Demonstrate an automation-first mindset and passion for engineering excellence
Have experience applying DevSecOps, data governance and secure engineering practices
Enjoy mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams
