Description
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports with in-depth variance analysis and commentary.
- Lead the cashflow forecasting process to ensure effective liquidity planning across multiple jurisdictions.
- Drive the budgeting process, monitoring actual performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT returns in the UK and UAE, and sales tax compliance in the USA.
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls and ensure compliance with group accounting policies.
- Oversee financial operations including bookkeeping, prepayments, accruals, fixed asset registration, supplier reconciliations, and logistics reconciliations.
- Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations and review all postings to the general ledger to ensure accuracy and legitimacy of financial data.
- Evaluate and monitor financial systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Identify financial risks and problem areas, preparing insights and actionable recommendations for management.
- Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and reporting across global entities.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights on pricing, promotions, and operational performance.
- Mentor and support junior finance team members, fostering professional development and accountability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / CPA) with ambition to complete qualification.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a management accounting or financial analysis role.
- Experience in e-commerce or high-volume transaction environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional VAT, GST and sales tax regulations (UK, UAE, USA, India).
- Excellent financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting processes.
- Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query, etc.).
- Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
