Our team is currently looking for an experienced Fleet Technician – 2nd Shift to maintain our commitment to safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles, and work closely with team members to support operational goals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Conducts routine preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes.
- Collaborates with the repair team to diagnose vehicle issues and develop repair solutions.
- Maintains accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
- Repairs, modifies, and performs preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles as needed.
- Completes all required preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
- Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure DOT compliance, including brake maintenance and safety inspections.
- Completes all required daily reporting.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supply inventories by monitoring stock levels.
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Adheres to all Company, DOT, and OSHA safety standards and regulations.
Schedule
Second Shift Position
- Monday through Saturday
- Hours: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Must be available to work a consistent second-shift schedule.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience and Competencies
- Minimum of 2 years of fleet maintenance experience.
- Welding and body fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical reference materials, equipment manuals, and repair documentation.
- Experience with Microsoft applications and diagnostic software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Professional, dependable, and safety-focused work ethic.
