Regional Account Manager – Latin America

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Regional Account Manager to lead American Express Global Business Travel's operations across Latin America. This role serves as the primary point of contact for regional business travel initiatives, responsible for driving strategic alignment, optimizing performance, and delivering exceptional service excellence across multiple countries.

What You'll Do

• Identify and analyze client business travel goals and objectives across the region
• Develop and implement comprehensive regional strategic business plans aligned with global initiatives
• Conduct quarterly account reviews for Mexico and LATAM markets, with semi-annual reviews for additional regions

• Monitor and report on out-of-policy compliance, identifying highest offenders and trends. Provide actionable insights to local controllers for program optimization

• Serve as the single point of accountability for the region, coordinating action plans, timelines, and country-specific initiatives

• Maintain regular, proactive communication with local account managers to ensure alignment with business plans and travel objectives
• Manage escalated service issues with priority and ensure timely resolution

• Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations based on travel analytics and business objectives

• Lead the implementation of Amex GBT products and services across the region
• Provide strategic support and guidance to optimize service delivery and client outcomes

 

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in account management, business travel, or related field
• Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities across diverse markets
• Proficiency in performance tracking and data analysis
• Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) preferred
