POSITION SUMMARY:


Sugarbush is seeking bartenders to join our talented food and beverage team. Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent guest service, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring compliance with all alcohol service regulations. Delivering a welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced environment of the mountain air. This position is part-time seasonal with an hourly rate between $7.50-$12 plus tips. Compensation depends on experience and venue.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Serve the guest in a friendly and prompt manner, with a pleasant and helpful attitude.
  • Assist host and servers while they service the guests.
  • Daily set-up, stocking, tear-down, and over all cleanliness and sanitization of bar and/or restaurant.
  • Make important decisions concerning the proper and safe sale of alcohol.
  • Must be knowledgeable about Sugarbush and surrounding area in order to answer guest questions and direct accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • 1 year prior bartending experience required.
  • Must hold current Vermont Department of Liquor certification.
  • Must possess a passion and a well-rounded working knowledge of food, wine, and beverages.
  • Proven ability to respond quickly and positively to changing conditions.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift and move a keg
  • Able to move heavy product on snowy and uneven surfaces
  • Able to self-manage
  • Inventory and ordering experience a plus
  • Experienced ski or snowboarding skills needed for one of the positions
