About the Role
First Achieve Engineering are working with their prestige client seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Turning setter/programmer to join there growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC turning machines, producing precision components to tight tolerances, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC turning lathes to produce precision components
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain tolerances and quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machining issues
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC turning lathes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of machining principles and tool selection
- Experience with quality control procedures and measuring equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts/overtime when required
Desirable
- Apprenticeship or vocational training in machining/manufacturing
- Experience with Fanuc or Siemens controls
- Experience With Manual Measuring Equipment
