  • Review operational changes such as reactivations, flow reversals, and MOP increases.
  • Perform EFRD analyses to support valve placement and project design.

Compliance and Collaboration:

  • Plan and execute requirements of Plains’ Integrity Management Program.
  • Support internal and external audits and respond to regulatory agency requests.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Corrosion, ILI vendors, and project teams.
  • Stay current with pipeline regulations, industry standards, integrity assessment methods, and repair methods.
  • Train Operations and junior team members on integrity programs and processes.
  • Participate in the development of asset integrity management plans and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience in the following areas strongly preferred:

    • Pipeline inspection, testing, and pressure testing.
    • Pipeline design, installation, and fabrication.
  • Ability to independently perform advanced integrity analyses
  • Experience exercising critical decision making and discretion in performing tasks.
  • Depth and breadth of knowledge in own discipline applied to complex problems, situations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to set goals and prioritize objectives according to those most critical to business success.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and complete commitments on schedule, including regulatory deadlines.
  • Proficiency with integrity data and GIS systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player who works effectively and cooperatively with other departments within the company.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to field locations.
