Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Dundalk, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. Use clear communication and customer service skills while documenting observations and responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of port facilities, access points, parking areas, waterfront perimeters, and surrounding property to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report access concerns or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident records, and other security-related documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
