About Our Family
We are a busy, active family of four — two parents who each run their own businesses, and two children who are full of energy, curiosity, and big feelings. We recently moved into our home, so we are still working systems and routines that work well for us. Typically, our mornings center around homeschool, and our afternoons shift into work mode. We travel frequently, host guests often, and love to take the kids on adventures, so we are looking for support in keeping a solid baseline and pattern to return to.
We care deeply about the environment we live and work in — food, atmosphere, and the people around us all matter to us. We are intentional about what we eat, how our home feels, and how our children are raised. We follow a plant-focused, low-sugar diet with specific preferences and trusted brands, and we hold high standards for food hygiene and kitchen care. We are a family whose faith is central to our daily lives. We have strong family values, and we put warmth, calm, and purpose at the center of all we do. We are looking for someone who shares those values and can grow with us as our family and needs continue to expand.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You are proactive, observant, and self-directed. You take pride in your work and bring genuine energy and warmth to everything you do. You are patient and emotionally grounded, capable of navigating high-energy moments with ease and compassion. You take feedback well and can easily adapt to the preferences of those around you.
You are someone who can hold the mental load — noticing when supplies are running low, when routines need tightening, or when a room just needs resetting — and you do it without being prompted. You thrive when you can create order. You have a “no task is too big or too small” mentality, and appreciate being able to work behind the scenes to make things happen.
While this is not primarily a childcare role, you genuinely enjoy spending time with children. You are confident in your ability to support and reinforce expectations placed on kids. You are intentional about how you present yourself around children, knowing that you will be an influence on them. Our goal is to spend more time with our children, but when you are stepping in, it is critical that you are taking that responsibility seriously. Kindness, honesty, patience, compassion, integrity, and respect are paramount.
Experience in food service or food prep is a strong plus. A background in education, childcare, or working with children is preferred, particularly in support of a homeschool environment. A second language is a welcome bonus.
