About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Sr. Treasury Analyst to work on the Liquidity Stress Testing & Optimization team. In this role you will support liquidity risk management, funding strategy, and balance sheet optimization. This is a highly analytical role, where you will develop, support and manage financial models and associated reporting, evaluate liquidity assumptions, and transform complex data into actionable insights for business leaders.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives related to liquidity and funding position analysis and contribute to large scale planning
  • Support the identification and optimization of inefficiencies in the liquidity framework with the goal of reducing costs, managing risk and driving efficiencies related to liquidity management
  • Manage, measure, analyze, and report on the firm’s liquidity position, including supporting the development of funding and liquidity management strategies and associated recommendations
  • Review and analyze moderately complex data that requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors to produce reporting and analytics on treasury finance liquidity and funding management
  • Develop and manage new analytical capabilities
  • Ensure accurate recurring deliverables are completed and compliant with various treasury risk management regulatory requirements
  • Ensure data quality and establish controlled processes
  • Prepare and make recommendations to more experienced group members and management, including executives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for lower-level staff
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Continue to evolve and implement Ai, in line with firm guidelines, to enhance processes and improve understanding of liquidity behavior


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience or familiarity with bank balance sheet behaviors, specifically funding, liquidity and capital concepts; direct loan or deposit forecasting, origination a plus
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, analysis, interpretation of complex data, the ability to build and maintain sophisticated financial models, utilizing advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience developing, enhancing, or governing financial modeling standards, forecasting processes, and analytical framework
  • Experience assessing and analyzing raw data sets and transforming to actionable insights
  • Strong financial planning and analysis background, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, allocations, and actuals
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and complex treasury reporting expertise
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Strong stakeholder management and developing relationships with internal and external partners
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence and deliver difficult messages with professionalism
  • Proven ability to work independently, assess risk, and resolve issues with strong attention to detail
  • Experience driving or supporting finance transformation, automation, or process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with enterprise planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion Essbase), data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and emerging AI technologies
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule from our 550 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC location.
