A Day in the Life

The UAE Commercial Operations function enables the execution of key business priorities across the Medtronic UAE organization by driving operational excellence, governance, business transformation, and cross-functional alignment. The team partners closely with Commercial, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Human Resources, Compliance, and regional stakeholders to support sustainable growth, operational readiness, and execution of strategic initiatives.
This position is based in the United Arab Emirates and partners extensively with local and regional stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of commercial priorities and business transformation programs.
The Project Management Lead, Commercial Operations serves as a strategic partner to the UAE Commercial Leadership Team, leading cross-functional initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, strengthen governance, and support business transformation. This role drives execution of strategic priorities, coordinates business-critical activities across multiple functions, and ensures initiatives are delivered with clear accountability, risk management, and measurable outcomes.

Primary responsibilities:

• Lead strategic transformation programs and business initiatives supporting UAE commercial objectives and organizational growth.
• Translate business priorities into actionable project plans with defined governance, milestones, deliverables, and success measures.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across Commercial, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Human Resources, Compliance, Information Technology, and regional teams.
• Establish project governance frameworks and performance tracking mechanisms to monitor progress and drive accountability.
• Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements that enhance commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Develop scalable operating models and readiness plans supporting new business initiatives, organizational changes, and customer onboarding activities.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and commercial risks that may impact customer experience, revenue, compliance, or business continuity.
• Prepare executive-level reporting, facilitate governance forums, and communicate progress, risks, decisions, and key outcomes to stakeholders.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in project management, program management, business operations, commercial operations, or business transformation.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple business functions and stakeholders.
• Experience establishing project governance, performance tracking, milestone management, and executive reporting processes.
• Experience managing operational or business transformation projects from planning through execution and delivery.
• Fluency in English with experience preparing presentations, dashboards, and executive communications.
• Experience within the medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or highly regulated industry.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience supporting commercial organizations, sales operations, or market expansion initiatives.
• Experience driving process improvement, operating model design, or organizational transformation programs.
• Experience partnering with regional and local stakeholders within a multinational matrix organization.
