Job Description

• This position is responsible for performing physical and technical work in outdoor environments that may include cold, hot, and/or dry conditions.

• The role requires regular use of welding and mechanical skills and involves physically demanding tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy materials 70+ pounds.

• Team members must be able to work safely while standing and moving for extended periods of time.

• The position involves frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, and pulling throughout the workday.

• Team collaboration and adherence to workplace safety and performance standards are essential.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of welding and/or mechanical experience, or completion of relevant technical training

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform physically demanding work

• No written warnings within the last 6 months

• No more than 6 attendance points

• Internal team members at the location will be given priority consideration if basic qualifications are met. If there are no qualified internal candidates selected, we will look at external applicants.

• If you are selected for this position and choose to decline, you will be ineligible to apply for another position for six months. Similarly, if you accept the position, you will not be eligible for lateral moves or positions with lower pay for six months; only promotions will be considered.

• Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

• This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
