Revvity is seeking a Scientific Account Manager – Stem Cell Solutions to join our ViaCord team! ViaCord is a team of passionate, mission-driven, creative and entrepreneurial individuals providing newborn stem cell preservation and Genomic services to expectant families. These cutting-edge services are positioned to positively impact the future health of today’s families.


The objective of this role is to drive growth of our portfolio through partnership with academic, biotechnical, pharmaceutical and cell therapy customers to support research applications including stem cell biology, gene editing, regenerative medicine, immunology and cell therapy development. The ideal candidate combines a strong scientific background with consultative sales skills and is comfortable engaging principal research scientists, medical teams and procurement stakeholders.  


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute territory growth plans.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within academic institutions, biotech companies, pharmaceutical organizations and cell therapy developers.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through closing and post-sale support. 
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with lab managers, research scientists, core facilities, and purchasing groups. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on stem cell products and related research applications. 
  • Conduct scientific discussions regarding:  
    • Hematopoietic stem cell biology 
    • Gene editing and CRISPR workflows 
    • Regenerative medicine 
    • Cell therapy research 
    • Immune cell development 
    • Cell expansion technologies 
  • Recommend appropriate cell products, donor types, cell counts, and supporting reagents based on customer research objectives. 
  • Deliver technical presentations, webinars, and seminars to scientific audiences. 
  • Monitor developments in stem cell biology, cell therapy, and gene editing markets. 
  • Maintain awareness of competitor products and industry trends. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences discipline.
  • 5+ years of life sciences sales, technical support, research or field application experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a life sciences discipline
  • Hand’s on laboratory experience
  • Experience selling:  
    • Primary cells 
    • Stem cell products 
    • Cell culture reagents 
    • Genomics solutions 
    • Flow cytometry products 
    • Cell therapy research tools 
  • Experience in field application scientist, product specialist, or translational research roles. 
  • Experience discussing research workflows and experimental design with scientists. 
  • Experience in Women’s Healthcare, Genetics, Pediatrics, Nursing or Labor & Delivery.
  • Strong analytical and customer service skills complimented by an aggressive and solutions-oriented track record in sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and execute innovative approaches to selling products and services.
  • Experience in building a highly successful and results-oriented territory plan.
  • Driven and proactive with strong problem-solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues
  • Develop and deliver ViaCord’s service presentations to defined audience to achieve enrollment targets

Physical Requirements & Expectations:

  • Travel requirements 5-10%.

Compensation Range:

 The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $101,500 - 135,500 plus commission. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. 

 

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
