Addiction Foods is looking for an experienced Welder / Fitter to join our manufacturing site in Te Puke.
This is a hands-on role supporting fabrication, welding, equipment repairs, modifications, installation, and general maintenance work across our production facility.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out welding, fabrication, fitting, and repair work.
- Fabricate and modify frames, guards, brackets, platforms, pipework, and other components.
- Repair and maintain production equipment and plant infrastructure.
- Assist with equipment installation, modifications, and improvement projects.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and complete practical repairs.
- Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, and assembly work.
- Work closely with the Maintenance and Engineering team.
- Follow food manufacturing, health and safety, and site hygiene requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven hands-on experience as a Welder, Fitter, Fabricator, or similar trade role.
- Strong welding and metal fabrication skills.
- Experience with stainless steel fabrication and welding is highly preferred.
- Good mechanical fitting and troubleshooting ability.
- Able to read drawings, take measurements, and fabricate accurately.
- Experience working with manufacturing or industrial equipment is preferred.
- Comfortable working independently and completing jobs safely.
- Good attention to detail and workmanship.
- Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
