Description
This position is the primary liaison for grant management within the division. This role is the conduit between the programming team and the Division Administrator. Under direction of the Division Administrator, Program Coordinators are entrusted with achieving grant reporting requirements and facilitating grant communications.
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
**Delaware County Health Department requires all employees be up to date for their COVID-19 vaccination per CDC guidelines. Proof of vaccination must be submitted before a candidate’s start date, if hired.
- Serve as the primary liaison between program teams and the Division Administrator regarding program operations, grant requirements, deliverables, and other program-related matters.
- Serve as the liaison between the Division and Grants Manager regarding grant-related fiscal and administrative matters.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned grant agreements, contracts, workplans, and deliverables to support compliance with grant requirements.
- Track and monitor grant program activities, timelines, deliverables, and overall status on behalf of the Division Administrator.
- Prepare, coordinate, and submit non-financial grant reports and other required program documentation.
- Coordinate with program teams regarding grant budgets, expenditures, and programmatic needs.
- Participate in grant and program status meetings and provide updates regarding deliverables, timelines, and outstanding action items.
- Work closely with the Division Administrative Assistant and program teams to identify and coordinate grant-related purchases.
- Coordinate with other County departments and agencies regarding the management and tracking of shared grant expenditures and activities.
- Maintain organized and accurate grant documentation, records, reports, and supporting materials.
- Identify potential grant compliance concerns, missed deliverables, or other programmatic issues and communicate concerns to the Division Administrator and appropriate staff.
- Participate in DCHD committees, workgroups, continuous quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, emergency preparedness activities, and special projects as assigned to support departmental goals and organizational priorities.
- Perform other duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant administrative, grant, program, or project coordination experience.
- Experience coordinating projects and managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet applicable background and pre-employment requirements.
- Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- State or Federal grant coordination experience preferred.
- Experience working with Intergovernmental Agreements preferred.
- Experience supporting grant-funded programs, including monitoring deliverables, reporting requirements, and program expenditures, preferred.

- Considerable knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, and administrative systems.

- Ability to interpret and follow grant agreements, contracts, policies, procedures, and established guidelines.
- Ability to track multiple projects, deadlines, deliverables, and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as a member of a highly productive team.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with DCHD staff, County departments, external partners, and other stakeholders.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize grant management, financial, project tracking, and other departmental information systems.
