Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in sustainability focus on integrating environmental, social, economic, and governance considerations into business strategies and operations. They provide guidance and support to organisations by managing sustainability risks, identifying opportunities, and driving positive social and environmental impact.

In governance sustainability at PwC, you will specialise in providing consulting services related to corporate governance and risk management. You will be responsible for analysing client needs, developing governance frameworks, and offering guidance and support to help clients enhance transparency, accountability, and ethical practices within their organisations.

1. ESG Strategy & Sustainability Advisory

• Support development of ESG and sustainability strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Assist clients in identifying ESG risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities.
• Support roadmap development for sustainability transformation and net-zero initiatives.

2. GHG Accounting & Carbon Management

• Conduct greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories in accordance with GHG Protocol and relevant standards.
• Support carbon footprint calculations for Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
• Analyze emission reduction opportunities and decarbonization pathways.
• Assist in carbon market and carbon credit-related assessments.

3. ESG Reporting & Disclosure

• Support preparation of sustainability reports and ESG disclosures.
• Conduct gap assessments against reporting frameworks such as GRI, IFRS S1 & S2 (PSPK 1 & 2), SASB, TCFD, CDP, and other sustainability standards.
• Review ESG data quality and support reporting improvement initiatives.
• Assist clients in responding to sustainability-related regulatory requirements.

4. Benchmarking & ESG Research

• Conduct industry benchmarking on sustainability practices, ratings, and disclosures.
• Monitor emerging ESG regulations, market trends, and global best practices.
• Perform sustainability-related research and analysis to support client projects and business development.

5. Life Cycle Assessment & Environmental Impact Analysis

• Support product and organizational Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
• Analyze environmental impacts across value chains and product lifecycles.
• Assist clients in developing product sustainability claims and environmental performance improvement initiatives.

6. Project Delivery & Client Support

• Support project management activities including planning, data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
• Prepare presentations, workshop materials, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Contribute to proposal development and business development activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• 2-4 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, climate change, carbon management, LCA, or related consulting work.
• Familiarity with GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, ISO 14040/14044, GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFRS Sustainability Standards (PSPK 1 & 2), and carbon markets.
• Strong analytical, research, data management, and presentation skills.
• Experience using LCA tools (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and sustainability data analysis.
