Commissioning Engineer (MV switchboards)

Responsibilities

The Commissioning Engineer for Medium Voltage switchboards provides professional on-site services for medium-voltage power distribution solutions, including commissioning, technical diagnostics, and resolution of customer issues. You are willing to travel internationally for 70% of the working time (and more)

• Perform Startup & Commissioning on all equipment across the entire medium voltage product ranges
• Evaluate units and system's installation & operational conditions
• Ability to perform onsite adjustments to bring the units to the best running conditions
• Be able to identify if the failure is related to a quality issue/ software issue / operation condition issue (Root cause Analysis)
• Work with service engineers or partners during site interventions
• Document test results and produce site work reports
• Train customers on basic operations of the equipment
• Ability to perform preventive & corrective maintenance for MV products

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of electrical principles particularly for medium voltage, fundamentals knowledge of automation and protection relays
• Must be able to perform duties with general direction, receiving only general guidance with respect to overall objectives.
• At least 5 years’ experience with commissioning and/or field service activities
• Confirmed experience with MV power distribution products 
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Willingness to travel internationally for 70% of the working time (and more)
