Night Porter/Sweeper Truck Operator
ST. LOUIS, MO | GATEWAY SERVICE GROUP
| STARTING PAY: $21/HOUR + Achievable $80 bonus every pay period |
WHAT WE DO & WHO WE ARE
We’ve been delivering respect to St. Louis for 40 years by keeping our public spaces clean and presentable. We make everyday shine by providing lot sweeping, day portering, power-washing, debris hauling, and construction power-sweeping services to our commercial and municipal customers.
THE ROLE
We're hiring night shift operators to operate sweeper trucks and keep parking lots, sidewalks, and commercial spaces clean and safe. You'll work independently, operating our equipment to remove debris and maintain properties for our clients.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Operate sweeper trucks to clean parking lots and roadways
- Use backpack blowers on sidewalks and pathways
- Complete routes with minimal supervision
- Maintain vehicle and equipment in good condition
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Have a Class E driver's license (or are willing to obtain one — we'll cover the cost!) with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently at night
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to operate equipment and to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift
- We'll pay for your license — Don't have a Class E driver's license yet? No problem. Gateway Service Group covers the cost to get you licensed.
- Competitive pay and regular bonuses
- Regular overtime opportunities at 1.5x your regular pay rate
- $80 Driver Safety & Attendance bonus paid every two weeks — equates to an extra $1/hr, and over 80% of our drivers consistently achieve this every pay period
- $250 bonus for achieving Employee of the Month
- You have a stake in the game! Ownership through our Purpose Plan point system — upon an investment event, Purpose Plan Points earned through tenure and performance convert to cash in your pocket
- Regular recognition and performance rewards
- Consistent feedback and support from your leadership team
- Structured training program so you'll feel confident operating independently
- Room to advance as we grow into new markets and service lines (parking lot striping, soil erosion control, commercial landscaping, and more)
- Discounts on cell service, travel, entertainment, and shopping
- Class E license cost covered for Missouri drivers
- Independent, outdoor work with real autonomy
