Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Visibility in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and clients while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and public responders as needed.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other authorized equipment, following all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Document incidents, observations, patrol activity, and interactions accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
