SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Jotun South East Asia & Pacific (SEAP) Regional Office is looking for HSEQ Manager to manage the company’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (called HSEQ) system to secure it as an integrated part of the local site’s strategy and management system to comply with Jotun requirements and local regulations. These include local compliance, risk management, environmental protection, training & safety culture and quality assurance and control.This position will be reporting to the Facility Manager and will be based in Glenmarie Shah Alam, Selangor.
Job Responsibilities :
Lead the HSEQ team in line with Leadership Expectations and tools to develop, coach, and guide its members to ensure a workforce that is competent, engaged, and enabled to meet Jotun’s current and future needs.
Implement and maintain the Company's HSEQ Policies and procedures to comply with legal and Jotun HSEQ Standards.
Assist the implementation of the HSEQ management system by working closely with the Element Owners.
Develop, manage, and measure the company's HSE and quality objectives and performance.
Initiate, plan, manage, coordinate, and measure improvement HSE projects to achieve demonstrable results.
Maintain and improve the HSE and ISO system documents, ensuring audits and actions are carried out as required to maintain the company's accreditation to the standards.
Responsible for HSEQ within the area of responsibility
Initiate, drive, and follow up continuous improvement activities by utilizing the Jotun Operations System
Act as a contact person for authorities, fire brigade, and local consultants regarding HSE issues.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or any related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) management, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, construction, R&D, or facility management environments.
Must possess a valid Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) Certification (Green Book Holder) recognized by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia.
Certified Construction Safety and Health Officer (CSHO) accredited by CIDB/NIOSH or equivalent certification.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSEQ management systems, risk management programs, incident investigations, audits, and compliance initiatives.
Preferred Certifications :
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems.
ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems.
Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor for ISO Management Systems.
IRCA Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001) will be considered a significant advantage.
