About the Opportunity

An established regional airline is seeking an experienced Manager Aircraft Maintenance to lead its aircraft maintenance operations and ensure the continued safety, reliability and airworthiness of its fleet.

Reporting directly to the General Manager MRO, you will oversee all maintenance activities, lead a skilled engineering team, ensure compliance with aviation regulations, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aviation engineering leader looking to take the next step in a senior management role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with CASA regulations, Part 145 requirements and company maintenance procedures.
• Develop and manage maintenance programmes to maximise aircraft availability and operational reliability.
• Manage, mentor and develop maintenance engineers, supervisors and technical staff.
• Coordinate closely with Flight Operations, CAMO, Production Planning, Stores and Supply Chain.
• Monitor maintenance performance, aircraft reliability and key operational KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency and cost performance.
• Manage maintenance budgets and control labour and material expenditure.
• Support audits, regulatory inspections and quality assurance activities.
• Act as Deputy General Manager MRO when required.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for candidates with:

• Minimum 10 years' aircraft maintenance experience
• At least 5 years in a leadership or management position
• Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) qualification or equivalent preferred
• Strong experience with turboprop aircraft maintenance
• Thorough understanding of CASA regulations and Part 145 maintenance requirements
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Experience managing engineering budgets and operational performance
• Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural airline environment
