The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, supports strategic decision-making, and manages the day-to-day accounting functions. This is a full time position at EZ Form, an Amphenol Company, located in Hamden, Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to audit findings.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and regulatory reporting.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Experience leading cross-functional financial initiatives.
