As an Office Assistant II, you will support clinical and office caregivers to support caring for the community, complying with regulatory requirements and maintaining financial stability of the department.
A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable day/evening/night/weekend from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. OR 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide general office support such as data entry, answering telephones and visitor reception.
- Facilitate the visitor process.
- Follow department and hospital policies and procedures.
- Manage traffic flow through the department.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy files.
- Update databases and file records appropriately.
- Complete recordkeeping in accordance with JCAHO standards.
- Answer telephones and provide general customer service.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of filing and data entry experience in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires occasional sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting or moving up to 25 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
