Internal Reconditioning Advisor – Elder Ford of Tampa

Elder Ford of Tampa is seeking an experienced Internal Reconditioning Advisor to support our high-volume pre-owned operations. This role is ideal for someone with dealership service, body shop, or reconditioning experience who understands vehicle repair processes.

You'll act as the bridge between inventory, service, body shop, detail, and parts departments, ensuring vehicles move efficiently through the reconditioning process and are prepared for sale quickly and to the highest standards. What You'll Do

• Manage the internal reconditioning process for pre-owned inventory from acquisition to frontline-ready status
• Review vehicle condition reports and identify maintenance, repair, and cosmetic reconditioning needs
• Create and maintain repair orders while coordinating workflow between service, body shop, detail, and outside vendors
• Monitor vehicle status, repair timelines, and reconditioning costs to help ensure inventory is retail-ready on schedule
• Communicate daily with technicians, parts personnel, and management to remove roadblocks and keep work moving efficiently
• Perform final quality reviews to ensure vehicles meet dealership appearance and safety standards
• Track and prioritize workload to support inventory turn goals and dealership performance objectives
• Partner with department leaders to ensure an efficient and profitable reconditioning process

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor, Body Shop Advisor, Reconditioning Advisor, Internal Advisor, or similar automotive operations role
• Experience with automotive maintenance, repairs, collision repair, and vehicle reconditioning processes
• Ability to effectively communicate with technicians, vendors, and dealership leadership
• Experience creating repair orders, tracking vehicle progress, and following up with time expectations
• Comfortable using dealership management systems and service-related software
• A team-first attitude with efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Previous dealership, collision center, or high-volume reconditioning experience

You will be onsite and you will report to the Body Shop Manager.
