Position Purpose:
Responsible for the day-to-day administrative support functions of the Radiation Oncology Department including business operations, billing and accounting functions, medical records, patient scheduling, physician support and reception for the Radiation Oncology Department. Performs secretarial and administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skills and knowledge of departmental and organizational policies. Composes and prepares correspondence, schedules meetings and appointments, gathers and inputs data for reports and to support departmental and Cancer Program quality and service initiatives. As the point of first contact in the department, this position is critical to a remarkable patient experience.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma required. Additional education or certification in Medical office or Secretarial program desirable.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative support or medical/clinical office experience
- Experience with medical billing, patient account functions & reconciliation of figures
- Computer software experience
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, standing
