Description
NIMS and ICS certifications for General Employee tier and any assigned working groups must be completed within six months of employment and complete additional or refresher trainings as required. Must have a demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment that fosters non-discrimination. Able to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented, have the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and be data driven. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Computer proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to work outdoors as well as indoors and be exposed to various pollutants and weather conditions. Must successfully complete all applicable regulatory airfield Ground Vehicle Operator training/assessments, within probationary period, and maintain corresponding airfield driving privileges throughout employment. Successfully complete a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) 10-year fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check and employment background check and Security Threat Assessment. Pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or other closely related field from a four-year accredited college or university. Professional certifications in the field of responsibility. Two to five years of full-time experience working in an airport environment. Experience working with projects that are subject to a governmental public procurement.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability programs, and when needed, recommend changes to close strategic gaps. Foster and coordinate new ideas and concepts for sustainability programming; identify materials and resources to supplement or expand existing sustainability programming and initiatives. Research, create and develop short- and long-term sustainability strategies for the Cleveland Airport System. Review and advise on project scopes, plans, specifications, requirements, contracts, etc. to assure they align with the organization’s sustainability strategies and goals. Prepare grant applications and other grant work related to sustainability projects and programs. Provide status and progress reports to project team, and management. Communicates regularly with various sections, tenants, contractors for sustainability management and coordinates activities and inspections. Identify compliance risks and noncompliance incidents and provide regulatory summaries and recommendations to executive staff. Monitors the quality of work performed by consultants and contractors and ensures work is complete according to task orders and within the budgetary and time restrictions of the contract. Track sustainability data and strategize financial efficiency. - Assists with the development of the section budget. Assists in the procurement process and verification of contractor invoices and payments.
