Salary: up to £40,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 8am to 4pm

What you'll be doing:

• Lead and supervise waste, facilities and cleaning teams, including allocating tasks, managing rotas, conducting meetings, supporting development and maintaining effective communication.
• Coordinate daily waste collection, segregation, processing and storage across the site, including operating baling equipment and supporting waste vehicle loading and unloading.
• Oversee cleaning operations, including routine and deep cleans, unplanned activities and ad hoc tasks, ensuring quality standards and KPIs are achieved.
• Manage health, safety and environmental compliance by conducting inspections and audits, maintaining records, reporting incidents and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage resources, equipment, consumables and operational costs, ensuring efficient use of personnel and supplies while identifying process improvements and cost savings.
• Manage stakeholders and contract performance by liaising with clients, departments, contractors and suppliers; monitoring KPIs, completing audits, maintaining compliance records and preparing reports.

What we're looking for:

• GCSEs in at least four subjects, including Maths and English, or equivalent, plus two A-Levels.
• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence; additional Facilities Management or related training is desirable.
• Proven experience in facilities and waste management, ideally in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience carrying out waste and cleaning duties in production areas, maintaining facility standards and following cleaning plans and operating procedures.
• Knowledge and practical experience of waste processing and recycling, including segregation, baling and compacting; manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisation, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with knowledge of facilities systems, maintenance, safety regulations and relevant computerised management and reporting systems.
