Pay Rate: $18.30 - $19.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to utility facilities by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned utility facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document daily activities, access-related incidents, patrol findings, and unusual conditions through accurate reports and shift logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
