As a senior engineer, you’ll be a cornerstone of our cloud platform team, architecting solutions, enabling development teams, and driving the adoption of modern infrastructure practices across a complex, multi‑tenant environment. Your work will directly support the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable capabilities for the IC. 

 

What You'll Work On:

• Architect, deploy, and optimize cloud‑agnostic infrastructure using modern tools and cloud technologies. 

• Design Kubernetes‑based solutions to support scalable, containerized workloads across mission environments. 

• Drive automation initiatives to eliminate manual processes and accelerate delivery. 

• Implement strong security practices and respond to emerging threats to keep systems hardened and mission‑ready. 

• Partner closely with developers and cross‑functional teams to deliver seamless, cloud‑native capabilities. 

• Work independently, mentor peers, and bring innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

You Have:  

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure engineering 

• Experience with Kubernetes including architecture, deployment, operations, and monitoring

• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux server systems in the Cloud 

• Experience with automation tools and infrastructure‑as‑code 

• Knowledge of AWS services and how to integrate them with Kubernetes 

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Bachelor’s degree

• Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date 

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience scripting or programming including Bash, Python, Golang, or Groovy 

• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or Terragrunt 

• Experience with Rancher, RKE2, Kubernetes Operators 

• Experience with tools such as ArgoCD, Grafana, Prometheus, or ElasticSearch 

• AWS Solutions Architect or Developer Certification

• Security+ Certification

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
