Description

The University of Minnesota’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Division of Adult Neuropsychology, is seeking a full-time neuropsychologist to serve as a clinician and training director. This is a unique opportunity to lead innovative education, support clinical excellence, and shape the future of neuropsychology within the University of Minnesota and M Physicians.

As the Neuropsychology Training Director, you will provide strategic educational leadership for our two-year Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (AAPCN) postdoctoral fellowship program. As a clinician, you’ll work closely with the leadership team to strengthen interdisciplinary collaborations and enhance patient care. You will also contribute to the training and mentorship of the next generation of academic neuropsychology and medicine professionals.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology, or a closely related field from an APA/CPA-accredited institution
  • A completed APA/CPA-approved pre-doctoral internship is necessary
  • Formal postdoctoral training in neuropsychology is required, preferably meeting APPCN guidelines
  • Minnesota Board of Psychology license or eligibility
  • Board-certified or board-eligible
    • If not already board-certified, candidates are expected to achieve the ABPP-CN diploma within three years after employment
  • Eligibility for credentialing and privileging
  • Proven history of leadership within a neuropsychology education program
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with individuals across multiple departments, practices, and health systems
  • Experience with APPCN guidelines

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the division's 2-year APPCN postdoctoral training program, including case supervision and weekly didactics attendance.
  • Collaborate with the division’s associate training directors, as well as other education leaders in the department.
  • Collaborate with the departmental leadership, clinical leadership, and other providers to establish partnerships and build strong relationships with referring departments and units.
  • Opportunity to engage in the Department’s other specialty clinics, including Rehabilitation Neuropsychology.
  • Engage in the teaching and mentorship of trainees across the Medical School, including medical students, residents, fellows, visiting students, and other allied health professionals, fostering their clinical and professional development.
  • Contribute to scholarly activities, including research and academic initiatives, in alignment with departmental goals.

Pay and Benefits

This full-time (100%) faculty position is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians and includes two salary components. Total compensation is competitive, with a salary range of $125,000 to $180,000. Compensation is based on AAMC benchmarks based on academic rank and is proportionate to academic and clinical duties.
