Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Mission Protection Systems Engineer to perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment. This high-performance team is closely integrated with customers and contractors. This team operates at the center of critical US government functions enabling the nation to meet its national security plan and strategic goals. Location: Alexandria, Virginia.
What You Will Do
- Support as a technical liaison with customers and demonstrate project leadership skills collaborating across customer and contractor boundaries.
- Perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors.
- Routinely called upon to support major projects that support the program/customer.
- Develop and implement solutions to complex problems.
- Technically minded problem-solver, be able to focus on the task at hand, follow-through on the prescribed plan, flexible and think under pressure.
- Capture, analyze, and present systems performance metrics.
- Support Concept of Operations (CONOP) updates and provide applicable improvements.
- Functionally utilize systems related, discrepancy reporting, and data analysis tools (i.e. SPLUNK, KIBANA, etc.)
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience with SENTIENT Tools
- Experience with data analytics.
- Experience executing presentations.
- Experience with general data capture and visualization tools.
- An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with metrics, log analysis, and data capture.
- Experience with general and regression system testing.
- Experience with discrepancy tracking and management.
- Multi-domain experience
- Experience involving customer engagement and briefing

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
