Description

Who we are looking for:

The Vice President, CPO Business Management plays a critical role in the day‑to‑day business management, operational reporting, and strategic communication of the Product organization. This role sits at the intersection of content, business management, and execution, supporting the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the CPO.

The role is responsible for driving operational rigor and transparency across the CPO through business management reporting, headcount and capacity tracking, risk and control support, OKRs, operating model documentation, and monthly business review (MBR) commentary, while continuing to own and govern Product content and narrative.

The individual will bring strong execution discipline, analytical insight, and structured thinking to help Product leadership navigate complex priorities, trade‑offs, and operating challenges with clarity and pace.

This role partners closely with the Product CAO and Product leadership to ensure that Product strategy, performance, and risks are clearly articulated, consistently governed, and effectively communicated.

The ideal candidate combines strong strategic judgment, executive communication expertise, and operational discipline, with the ability to lead content at scale in a complex, fast‑paced environment.

Why this role is important to us:

As Product continues to scale in size, complexity, and strategic importance, there is a growing need for strong business management capabilities alongside content and narrative leadership.

This role ensures that:

  • Product leadership has clear, reliable insights into performance, capacity, risks, and priorities

  • Strategic decisions are supported by consistent reporting and analysis

  • Product operates with discipline, transparency, and accountability

  • Messaging to senior stakeholders reflects both strategy and operational reality

This position is foundational to sustaining operational excellence and execution maturity across the Product organization.

What you will be responsible for

Product Business Management & Reporting

  • Own and facilitate business management reporting for the Product organization, including dashboards, scorecards, and executive‑level summaries

  • Produce monthly business review (MBR) materials and commentary, translating data into clear insights, risks, and actions for leadership

  • Support OKR definition, tracking, and reporting, ensuring alignment between strategy, execution, and outcomes

  • Develop and maintain operating model documentation, including roles, responsibilities, governance forums, and decision rights

Headcount, Capacity & Resource Management

  • Partner with Finance, HR, and the Product CAO to support:

    • Headcount tracking and reporting

    • Capacity and utilization analysis

    • Workforce planning inputs and hiring approvals

  • Maintain transparent views into resource allocation and constraints across Product

Product related Strategic Narrative and data gathering

  • Review Product content and narrative, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with strategic and operational priorities. Write commentaries, where necessary.

  • Translate Product strategy, performance, and risks into clear, compelling executive‑level commentaries

  • Coordinate across teams for content creation for senior forums, leadership updates, and cross‑functional communications

  • Act as a liaison between the Product Office and partner teams to ensure messaging accuracy and consistency

Employee Engagement, Talent & Culture Enablement

  • Partner with the Talent, Learning & Culture (TLC) Council and related workstreams to support employee engagement, learning, and culture initiatives within the Product organization.

  • Coordinate Product participation in enterprise and BU‑level engagement programs, ensuring alignment with Product priorities and capacity.

  • Track and report on engagement‑related metrics, actions, and outcomes, including follow‑through on survey results, action plans, and leadership commitments.

  • Support leadership with materials, reporting, and updates for TLC Council forums, engagement reviews, and related governance meetings.

  • Write commentaries for quarterly internal newsletters and internal social media posts

Risk, Controls & Governance Support

  • Support Product leadership in risk identification, issue tracking, and control remediation, including coordination with Operational Risk, Compliance, and Audit

  • Assist with documentation and tracking of control actions, governance decisions, and remediation plans

  • Help embed consistent governance and operating discipline across Product initiatives

Execution & Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Manage and support strategic, tactical, and ad‑hoc initiatives on behalf of Product leadership

  • Act as a trusted partner to the Product CAO helping drive follow‑through on commitments, decisions, and action items

  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales Support, Finance, HR, Risk, and other CAO functions to ensure aligned execution

Operational Excellence & Enablement

  • Drive continuous improvement in business management processes, leveraging tools, templates, and automation where appropriate

  • Leverage AI tools (including Copilot) to improve reporting efficiency, insight generation, and content quality

  • Mentor junior team members and help build a strong bench of business management and content talent

  • Support ad hoc strategic initiatives and projects as needed

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in business management, CAO, chief of staff, or strategy support roles

  • Strong ability to translate data into executive‑ready insights and narratives

  • Experience with headcount, financial, and workforce data, and comfort working across Finance and HR partners

  • Proven ability to operate in a matrixed, fast‑paced, and highly regulated environment

  • Strong execution rigor with an ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities

  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; familiarity with AI‑enabled productivity tools (e.g., Copilot)

  • High emotional intelligence, sound business judgment, and discretion when supporting senior leaders

  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor, balancing challenge with partnership

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Overall, 15+ years of work experience.

  • 8+ years of relevant business/product experience; prior experience in CAO, business management, strategy, consulting, or transformation roles strongly preferred

  • Experience supporting senior leaders within Product, Investment Services, or adjacent financial services functions a plus
