Description
Position Summary:
Compliance Specialist will serve as one of the in-house regulatory and risk experts for the
company, working across all areas of Horatio's Compliance and Legal teams while reinforcing
the company’s policies, standards, and regulatory processes. The position is full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
● Perform internal audits (for for any business reason), ensuring the compliance and
adherence to the contractual requirements internal policies and international
standards and certifications.
● Execute risk assessment for each client and/or line of business.
● Ensure that the security and compliance culture is implemented and continuously
improved within the organization.
● Propose ideas to the possible solutions to mitigate security and compliance risks
behaviors.
● Maintain all risk documents for review.
● Risk analysis for software implementations.
● Ensure the full compliance of the security contractual requirements of current clients.
● Coordinate and follow up the preventing and corrective actions plans in order to
mitigate the findings reported on the internal/external audits until findings effective
closure.
● Give support as a security/compliance consultant to all operation and support areas
for any Information Security best practices and information security compliance on the
local sites.
● Give support to other sites by traveling and performing internal audits or for any
continuous improvement needed.
● Attend to site meetings to ensure the correct execution of the security controls
implemented throughout the internal processes.
● Follow up activities related with the ISO 27001/PCI-DSS/SOC2/HIPAA audit exercise and
review contracts and operations for compliance purposes.
● Being the POC with operations for Compliance.
● Perform internal audits at least on a quarterly basis (or for any business reason),
ensuring the compliance and adherence to the internal policies, contractual
requirements and international standards and certifications.
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Proficient in English (spoken and written)
Excellent organization, time management, problem solving skills and demonstrated
sense of urgency
● Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and passion for results
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively
● Commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality and maintaining the highest
standards of professional ethics.
Teamwork, proactive and interested in developing and learning
Work Experience:
● 1+ year of experience in the role or similar positions.
● Knowledge in continuous improvement.
● Knowledge on any management system such as ISOs or PCI-DSS, SOC2.
● Knowledge on Information Technology and/or Information Security related fields.
● Experience on elaborating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), policies, standards
or related documentation.
● Previous experience on security auditing is a plus.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
