Compliance Ethics Counsel

Job Description

What you will do in your day-to-day role:

• Support due diligence processes related to Ventures & Acquisitions and Joint Ventures by identifying AML, Trade Compliance, and Anti-Corruption risks.
• Review contracts, corporate documents, and company records to assess risks and compliance.
• Support leadership in preparing executive reports, escalation materials, and monitoring integration activities.
• Engage with global stakeholders across Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Business, and Ventures & Acquisitions.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify compliance gaps, and recommend mitigation actions.
• Serve as the focal point for matters related to the support function, promoting alignment of processes and guidelines.
• Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the Global Legal Network and the Ethics & Compliance function.

What we are looking for in the person joining the team:

• Five to seven years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Consulting, Risk Management, or related corporate functions.
• Experience in Ethics & Compliance, internal controls, investigations, due diligence, contract analysis, legal research, and risk mitigation.
• Advanced English proficiency for written and verbal communication with global stakeholders and participation in complex discussions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Copilot.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multiple-priority management skills, with the ability to work effectively in global environments.

Job Qualifications

In addition, the following knowledge and experience are desirable:

• Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Joint Ventures, Ventures, or third-party due diligence processes.
• Knowledge of Ethics & Compliance programs, frameworks, and policies.
• Familiarity with corporate practices, contractual regulations, commercial agreements, and legal and regulatory principles.
• Experience preparing executive reports, presentations, and data-driven storytelling.
• Ability to recommend risk mitigation strategies while considering legal and business impacts.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted relationships, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Experience working with multicultural and globally distributed teams.
• A collaborative and adaptable profile, with attention to detail, excellent coordination skills, and a strong sense of accountability.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent completed higher education.

Professional Experience:

• A minimum of five to seven years of professional experience in Compliance, Legal, Consulting, Risk Management, Corporate Investigations, Due Diligence, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Ventures & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, or post-acquisition integration projects.
• Knowledge of AML (Anti-Money Laundering), Trade Compliance, and Anti-Corruption programs.
• Experience in multinational environments and engaging with global executive stakeholders.
• Certifications related to Compliance, Governance, Risk Management, or Investigations will be considered an advantage.
