As a Security Officer Secure Entry Operations in Punta Gorda, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor visitor activity, and support a professional, secure environment. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a government location, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor entry records, and direct individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to designated personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles and pedestrians, screen deliveries and contractors as required, and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, exterior areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
