Description
Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is ranked among the world’s top universities. We are seeking a Research Fellow to investigate sensory processing and neural circuit mechanisms.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct research on mechanosensory and somatosensory circuits and sensory coding.
- Develop and apply behavioural assays, calcium imaging and genetic manipulations to study sensory processing and motor sequence generation.
- Analyse experimental data, maintain reproducible research records and interpret findings in relation to neural circuit mechanisms.
- Prepare publications and project reports, collaborate with the research team and guide students.
Job Requirements
- PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline.
- Research experience in sensory neuroscience, neural circuits or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Experience with animal models, electrophysiology, behavioural assays and genetic techniques.
- Proven ability to design experiments, analyse data and publish research findings.
- Strong scientific writing, communication and teamwork skills.
