Are you the person people come to when they need real advice — the one who listens, tells the truth, and helps them figure out their next move. That's the job. Madison Strategies Group is looking for a Career Coach who can do that for our community, every single day, and watch people turn it into new careers, new skills, and new lives.

This isn't a desk job where you push paper. It's a front-row seat to people rebuilding their futures — and you're the coach in their corner.

What You'll Actually Do

Coach and Connect 

• Meet with prospective customers to learn their story — work history, education, goals — and help them find the program that fits.
• Coach individuals and small groups on job search strategy, resumes, interviews, and the skills that turn interviews into offers.
• Use assessments and honest conversation to help people see their own strengths clearly, maybe for the first time.
• Set goals together and stay engaged through in-person, virtual, or phone meetings that keep people moving forward, even when life gets in the way.
• Problem-solve real obstacles: childcare, transportation, scheduling, family crises — and connect people to the right internal or external resources.
• Get people enrolled in the training that matches their goals, and champion them at job fairs, workshops, and events.

Win as a Team

• Own your numbers: help hit team goals for completions, job placements, and retention.
• Keep Salesforce and other data current and report your progress weekly — no surprises, just steady momentum.
• Partner closely with other Career Services Team members and the Business Services Team to keep customers on track and matched to the right jobs.
• We're a small team, so everyone works across a range of projects. That means real variety in your week and a rhythm you can sustain. 

Here's the honest truth: you don't need to have been a "career coach" before. What you need is a track record of helping people set goals and actually reach them — whatever chair you were sitting in when you did it.

• 1-2 years in a role where you coached, mentored, taught, advised, or supported people toward a goal — think teaching, HR, case management, training, athletics, youth work, or yes, career coaching too.
• A person who enjoys a varied workload and a steady work pace 
• A background in education, or in helping others access education, is a real plus (not a requirement).
• 2+ years of solid experience working in a professional office environment.
• Comfortable presenting to a room of ten or connecting one-on-one — you can read a room and meet people where they are.
• A reliable vehicle you can use throughout the workday, and the flexibility for the occasional evening or weekend.

You'll thrive here if you're 

• A natural encourager who also isn't afraid to have the honest conversations.
• Organized enough to juggle a full caseload without dropping the follow-through.
• Energized by data and results, not just good intentions.
• Handy with Gmail and Google Drive, and quick to pick up new tools; Salesforce experience is a bonus, as is experience and curiosity around using AI.
• A BA or BS is preferred, but we care more about what you can do than the paper that says you can do it.

The Details

• Full-time, on-site at our office in downtown Tulsa.
• $50,000–$55,000 annually, based on experience.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Company-paid short- and long-term disability, plus life insurance.
• 4% 401(k) match.
