Description
What you'll do...
- Build new products, features, and platform capabilities from the ground up.
- Take ideas from early concept through technical design, development, testing, and production.
- Ship often and own the quality, performance, and reliability of what you put into the product.
- Work closely with a small, high-performing engineering team where people communicate directly, move quickly, and help each other solve hard problems.
- Make sound technical decisions based on strong software engineering and computer science fundamentals.
- Work across the stack when needed, choosing the right approach rather than being tied to one language or framework.
- Use AI development tools as part of the normal engineering workflow to move faster without lowering the bar for quality.
- Review and improve code from both engineers and AI-enabled workflows.
- Help shape architecture as new products and features are introduced and the platform continues to evolve.
- Bring a builder mindset to ambiguous problems and turn them into practical, production-ready software.
What we're looking for...
- Strong engineers coming from Python, Java, C#, TypeScript, Node.js, Go, or Ruby shops. You aren't married to a tech stack; you're married to being a technologist.
- Do you have professional experience using AI dev tooling (e.g., spec-driven development, agent orchestration, implementation, code review, testing, debugging, refactoring, etc.)? Think hands-on experience with Claude Code, OpenAI/ChatGPT Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, JetBrains AI/Junie, Sourcegraph Cody, CodeRabbit, Greptile, etc.
- Experience building complex SaaS, enterprise, or multi-layered software applications. Think building for the enterprise.
- Previous experience migrating to or working with PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Experience owning work from technical specification through implementation and production.
- Strong code review skills (ability to evaluate both human-written and AI-generated code).
- Own backend architecture and development across APIs, business logic, integrations, databases, performance, reliability, and production support.
- Own frontend application development across user interfaces, client-side integrations, usability, performance, and delivery of production-ready features.
- Ideally looking for senior engineers, but open to less experience if your experience lines up with the above.
- Local to Greenville, SC: After six months, the role moves to a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two work-from-home days per week.
