  • Work in Agile/Scrum teams; contribute to grooming, planning, demos, and retrospectives.

  • Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Security to deliver features end-to-end.

  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices, testing, and code quality.

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

  • 25 years of software development experience, including 1+ years of building production-grade Java microservices.

  • Core Stack:

  • Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Data/JPA (Hibernate), Spring Cloud (config, discovery, resilience).

  • Microservices architecture and inter-service communication patterns.

  • Messaging & Integration:

  • Experience with Kafka or IBM MQ for event streaming/async processing.

  • Build & CI/CD:

  • Maven/Gradle, Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).

  • Containers & Cloud (Working Knowledge):

  • Docker, basics of Kubernetes (deployments, services, config).

  • Good knowledge in documenting APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger

  • Testing & Quality:

  • JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers; knowledge of contract testing and integration testing.

  • Familiarity with SonarQube and static analysis tools (Checkstyle/PMD/SpotBugs).

  • Security & Compliance:

  • OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, Spring Security; secure coding, handling secrets, and dependency management (OWASP basics).

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; clear verbal and written communication.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment; manage multiple tasks.
