Silgan is hiring an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Brookfield, WI.

Are you a recent Environmental Engineering graduate looking to launch your career with a Fortune 500 manufacturing company? In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting environmental programs with a primary focus on air compliance. You'll work alongside experienced environmental professionals, manufacturing leaders, and regulatory agencies while building technical expertise in environmental regulations, permitting, emissions reporting, and sustainability initiatives.

What You Will Do:

· Assist with environmental compliance programs across multiple manufacturing facilities

· Support air permitting activities, regulatory submissions, and compliance reporting

· Help prepare emissions inventories and environmental reports

· Assist with emissions calculations, stack testing coordination, and compliance monitoring

· Research and interpret environmental regulations with guidance from senior team members

· Support wastewater, hazardous waste, and other environmental compliance programs

· Partner with plant teams to identify and reduce environmental risks

· Participate in facility audits, inspections, and environmental assessments

· Help develop environmental training materials and communications

· Contribute to sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives

· Travel to manufacturing facilities to support environmental projects and compliance activities

What You Bring:

· Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

· Internship, co-op, research, or academic project experience related to environmental compliance, sustainability, manufacturing, or engineering preferred

· Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance concepts

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team environment

· Willingness to travel 20% - 30%
