Description

The Senior Operations & Gallery Specialist assists in managing systems and workflows of the Michael C. Carlos Museum while taking on leadership responsibility with staff and infrastructure projects. This position focuses on maintaining museum visitor engagement, and operational workflows for projects and events. Ensures safe and secure spaces and the protection of artworks.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Trains full and part-time staff, including student Gallery Attendants on departmental protocols and admission ticket sales.
• Maintains documentation and internal communication. Provides facility and gallery access.
• Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, and three years of experience in customer service, facility security, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer skills, visitor services, and safety protocols is preferred.
• Proficiency with computer skills, visitor engagement, and gallery safety protocols is preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
