JOB SUMMARY
The Legal Assistant reports to the Lead Counsel of the Corporation serving as the primary on-the-ground representative of the Legal Department. The Legal Assistant supports the Legal Department in the day-to-day administration of legal and compliance matters for Dermorepubliq. This includes preparing, organizing, and maintaining legal documents, contracts, and corporate records; tracking deadlines, filings, and regulatory submissions; conducting basic legal research; coordinating with internal departments and external counsel; and assisting with correspondence, meeting scheduling, and document execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
- Assist the Lead Counsel in monitoring contracts for review/drafting and safekeeping confidential legal files in custody of the Department.
- Liaise with, and ensure timely corporate registration and submissions to, the SEC, IPOPHIL, trial courts and other government agencies.
- Assist the Lead Counsel in all litigation matters and case monitoring, legal research, and act as liaison officer to external counsel.
- Under the supervision of the Lead Counsel, provide assistance to the other departments, when requested, regarding compliance and regulatory matters, as well as providing guidance in the proper interpretation of regulatory issuances.
- Organize and monitor Board Resolutions and Secretary’s Certificates and other corporate records.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, psychology or any related field.
Experience:
- At least 2–3 years of experience as Legal Assistant, Paralegal or Compliance Officer in a law firm or corporate setting.
- Working knowledge of SEC registration and submission processes and requirements, IPOPHIL, trial court and NLRC procedures.
- Background in manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
