Kids Club Evening & Weekend Staff
Position Summary
The Kids Club Evening & Weekend Staff member is responsible for providing a safe, welcoming, fun, and well-organized environment for children ages 3 months through 12 years while their parents or guardians enjoy the amenities and activities at Westwood Country Club.
This position requires someone who is dependable, energetic, patient, attentive, and comfortable working with children of different ages and developmental stages. Staff members are expected to actively supervise children, maintain a clean and organized Kids Club, and provide excellent customer service to Westwood members and their families.
Position Schedule
This is an evening and weekend position with the following scheduled hours:

Primary Responsibilities
Child Supervision & Safety
- Provide attentive, active supervision of children at all times.
- Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and follow all Kids Club safety procedures.
- Ensure children are signed in and out according to Club procedures.
- Be aware of children's individual needs, behaviors, and activities.
- Respond appropriately to accidents, injuries, conflicts, and emergencies.
- Never leave children unattended.
- Follow all Westwood Country Club policies and procedures regarding child safety and supervision.
- Communicate concerns about a child's safety, behavior, or well-being to the Kids Club Supervisor/Manager.
Engagement & Activities
- Interact positively and appropriately with children ages 3 months–12 years.
- Provide age-appropriate games, crafts, toys, books, and activities.
- Encourage children to participate in activities while respecting children who need quiet time or space.
- Help create a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable and secure.
- Assist with activities and special Kids Club events as needed.
Infant & Toddler Care
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, including age-appropriate play and comfort.
- Follow parent/guardian instructions regarding feeding, bottles, diapers, and other approved care needs.
- Follow all applicable procedures for diapering, bottle handling, sanitation, and infant safety.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for our youngest members.
Cleanliness & Organization
- Keep the Kids Club clean, safe, and organized throughout the entire shift.
- Return toys, games, books, and supplies to their proper locations after use.
- Encourage children to help clean up after activities.
- Routinely sanitize toys, surfaces, and frequently touched areas according to Club procedures.
- Complete all opening, transition, and closing cleaning responsibilities.
- Ensure the Kids Club is left clean, organized, and ready for the next shift.
Member Service
- Greet children and parents/guardians warmly and professionally.
- Provide excellent customer service to Westwood Country Club members.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents regarding their child's visit.
- Answer basic Kids Club questions or direct members to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
- Represent Westwood Country Club in a friendly and professional manner.
End-of-Shift Expectations
Before leaving each shift, staff members are expected to:
- Ensure all children have been properly signed out.
- Clean and sanitize the Kids Club.
- Return all toys, games, and supplies to their designated locations.
- Organize play areas and classrooms.
- Remove trash and address any spills or messes.
- Restock supplies as needed.
- Complete any required closing checklist or documentation.
- Communicate important information to the incoming staff member or supervisor.
- Leave the Kids Club fully prepared for the next day's activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
- Experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or school-age children is a plus.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Must be comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Must demonstrate patience, maturity, and good judgment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, and coworkers.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to remain attentive and engaged throughout the shift.
- Must be willing to follow all Westwood Country Club policies and Kids Club procedures.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or may be required according to Club policy.
Physical Requirements
The position requires the ability to:
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move around the Kids Club for extended periods.
- Safely interact with children of various ages.
- Lift and carry young children when necessary and appropriate.
- Lift and move toys, supplies, and equipment.
- Respond quickly to children who may need assistance.
- Maintain an active level of supervision throughout the shift.
