The Teams and Role:
The CMF Sr. Engineer is responsible for Materials Formulation research,development and the Logitech Mice and Keyboard products NPI CMF process design.
Materials Formulation: Responsible for developing and optimizing material formulations for color, materials, and finish (CMF) applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CMF principles, experience with resin or paint/ink formulation development, and a passion for innovation.
NPIs CMF process development: Responsible for new product CMF engineering design, Convert concept descriptions from Design and marketing into feasible/achievable engineering activities.
Your contribution:
Develop and optimize material formulations for new and existing products
Work with x-functions to ensure that CMF specifications are met
Select and source raw materials that meet CMF requirements
Conduct material testing and characterization
Stay up-to-date on the latest CMF trends and technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in material formulation
New product CMF engineering design, To make the link between ID/CMF design and manufacturing to achieve optimal user experiences and manufacturability.
To conduct fast prototyping to evaluate ideas and experience to help the project team to understand consumer needs and feasibility.
Translate the concept descriptions from Design and marketing into feasible/achievable engineering activities.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
5+ years of experience in material formulation development, preferably in the CMF industry
2 + years 3C products CMF engineering experience
Candidates with a proficient level of both written and spoken English
Experience with resin or paint/ink formulation development
Strong understanding materials science
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
