Position: Child Nutrition Operations Coordinator 

Operation Food Search is seeking a highly organized, hands-on Child Nutrition Operations Coordinator to drive the daily warehouse operations and administrative functions that power OFS’s CACFP (AfterSchool), SFSP (Summer Meals), and Operation Backpack programs. This role ensures orders are accurately prepared and ready for delivery, inventory is effectively managed, routes are coordinated, program areas remain clean and organized, and deliveries and pick-ups are completed as needed.

Salary: $21.15 - $26.44

Essential Functions:

Warehouse Operations – 50%

• Receive daily orders for CACFP (AfterSchool Meals) and SFSP (Summer Meals) programs and pack, label, and stage meals according to site needs for delivery the next day.
• Communicate with Child Nutrition Program Manager when meal and supply inventory needs to be replenished.
• Collaborate with Child Nutrition Specialist and Child Nutrition Program Coordinator to create weekly and monthly menus for CACFP, SFSP, and Operation Backpack programs.
• Collaborate with Child Nutrition Program Manager and Child Nutrition Delivery Driver to plan routes for daily delivery needs.
• Assist Child Nutrition Delivery Driver with delivery and pickup of meals as needed.
• Schedule, recruit, train, and lead volunteers to pack for Child Nutrition Programs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly program workspace in the warehouse to ensure operational efficiency and sanitation. 
• Safely operate a pallet jack and dolly to move inventory and assist with loading and unloading products.

Administrative Duties – 50%

• Create accurate daily Delivery Tickets within DHSS compliance for all CACFP and SFSP deliveries.
• Collect, review for accuracy, and properly store all signed Delivery Tickets for previous day’s deliveries.
• Manage and maintain Child Nutrition inventory for CACFP, SFSP, and Operation Backpack programs through the utilization of OFS’ internal inventory system.
• Create Meal Production Records in compliance with DHSS guidelines.
• Collect and store purchase orders in compliance with DHSS guidelines.   

Strategic Growth & Innovation

• Stay updated on program trends and identify innovative approaches to enhance meal quality and program efficiency. 
• Assist with the grant process by providing program details and data for proposals and reports in a timely manner and participate with funder visits/tours as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align Child Nutrition initiatives with the organization's broader mission and goals.
• Identify opportunities to expand program reach and increase equitable food access for underserved populations.

Requirements

 Education and/or Experience:

•  High school diploma or equivalent required.
•  Bachelor's degree preferred
•  Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of operations, retail, driving, or logistics experience.

  Special Requirements:

• Flexibility in working hours for occasional special events after-hours or weekend.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, standing for extended periods, and use of cleaning equipment.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to assist with other OFS duties as required or as assigned. 

Working Condition and Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform tasks that require physical activity such as standing for long periods of time or lifting heavy items with or without reasonable accommodations. 
• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds and move pallets using a pallet jack and load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Frequent driving and lifting in a variety of weather conditions.  
• Standard work hours with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
