About role
We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to help establish and grow our new Technology & Innovation hub based in Hyderabad.
You will help play a key role in shaping the people environment of our Innovation Hub. Partnering closely with business leads and cross-functional teams to establish people policies and processes, support operational readiness and build an engaging, inclusive and high-performing workplace.
You will bring strong HR business partnering and employee relations experience, together with practical knowledge of Indian statutory requirements, shift-based workforce management and the establishment or scaling of a GCC, GBS, captive centre or shared services operation.
Key duties & Responsibilities
People partnering and stakeholder management
Act as the primary People Advisor for leaders and employees at the Hyderabad hub.
Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness and people priorities.
Coach managers on performance management, employee relations and day-to-day people matters.
Build strong relationships with regional and global stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into practical and sustainable people solutions.
Site establishment and HR operations
Support the setup and operations for the Hyderabad Technology & Innovation hub site
Work with Legal, Finance, Compliance, Facilities, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and other teams to support site readiness.
Develop and implement site-level people policies, processes and governance.
Act as the key HR contact for people-related matters affecting the Hyderabad site.
Support workforce administration and ensure an effective employee experience as the site grows.
Statutory compliance and risk management
Ensure site-level compliance with applicable Indian employment laws and statutory requirements.
Support the statutory requirements associated with establishing and operating a global business services or technology centre in Hyderabad.
Manage statutory documentation, reporting, audits and inspections.
Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee and compliance records.
Partner with Legal, Finance and Compliance teams to identify and manage people-related risks.
Employee relations and lifecycle management
Independently manage employee relations matters, including grievances, performance concerns, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
Coach managers through sensitive or complex employee situations.
Oversee onboarding, employee movements, policy implementation and offboarding activities.
Maintain accurate employee information and HR documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve employee lifecycle processes and service delivery.
Shift and workforce management
Support teams working across global time zones, including shift-based or extended-hours operations.
Help develop and implement practical shift-related policies and workforce processes.
Advise leaders on shift management, employee wellbeing and workforce continuity.
Monitor workforce trends and identify potential operational or employee risks.
Support contractor onboarding, compliance and offboarding.
Culture, engagement and inclusion
Help create the culture and employee experience for a new and growing site.
Lead engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, recognition and retention initiatives.
Support communication and change-management activities as the hub develops.
Build connections between Hyderabad employees and the wider global organization.
Use employee feedback and workforce insights to recommend practical improvements.
Vendor and site administration
Partner with external vendors supporting staffing, facilities, transportation, employee services and site operations.
Monitor vendor service delivery, compliance and employee experience.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational issues affecting employees.
Support effective governance of contractors and third-party workers.
About You
Skills & experience
Significant generalist HR, People Partner, HRBP or People Advisory experience in Hyderabad
Experience supporting the establishment, expansion or transformation of a GCC, GBS, captive centre, shared services centre or technology hub
Strong working knowledge of Indian employment legislation and statutory compliance.
Demonstrated experience independently managing employee relations matters.
Experience supporting shift-based, 24/7, technology or globally distributed workforces.
Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
Practical experience developing or implementing HR policies and governance processes.
Experience managing external vendors, contractors or site-level employee services.
Strong project management, organisation and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work independently in a developing environment where processes are still being established.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Qualifications & education
At least 5 years of proven experience in HRBP/Generalist or People Advisor role working within a global technology, GCC, GBS or shared services environment
Bachelor’s degree in human resources
Experience helping launch or scale a new site
Strong knowledge of Hyderabad-specific employment and statutory requirements
Experience supporting employees working US, European or rotational shifts
A track record of building culture and engagement during periods of rapid growth or organisational change
