Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mobile (Android) Application Developer Co-op to join our mobile development team. As a Mobile App Co-op, you will gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications while working alongside experienced developers. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects and build your professional portfolio. 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Android apps in Kotlin/Java, following coding standards and best practices
• Implement features and improvements under senior guidance; fix bugs and improve performance
• Collaborate with designers to build UI components and ensure smooth experiences across devices and screen sizes
• Write unit tests, assist with debugging, and contribute to performance and reliability
• Maintain and update codebases; create concise technical documentation
• Participate in code reviews, standups, and knowledge-sharing; collaborate with developers, designers, and product in an agile setup

Key Qualifications

• Post secondary studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Working knowledge of Kotlin/Java and familiarity with Android Studio/Android SDK
• Solid grasp of OOP principles; basic understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON
• Experience with Git (or willingness to learn)
• Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, clear communication, and teamwork
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn, able to manage time and iterate on feedback
