The Lightspeed Lab® Engineering Co-op will support Resonetics’ rapid-prototyping and process-development work for innovative MedTech customers. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys solving technical challenges quickly, working directly with engineers and technicians, and seeing ideas become precision components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with rapid-prototyping and process-development activities for medical-device components and complex subassemblies.

  • Support engineering trials, prototype builds, test plans, data collection, and technical reports.

  • Help document process parameters, setup requirements, work instructions, and lessons learned for customer programs.

  • Work with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot prototype and process issues, supporting quick iteration and practical solutions.

  • Participate in design and manufacturing reviews, helping evaluate manufacturability and scalability from prototype through production transfer.

  • Collaborate with specialists across Resonetics’ engineering and manufacturing network to deliver responsive support for customer programs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Biomedical, Manufacturing, Materials, or a related Engineering discipline.

  • Genuine interest in product development, rapid prototyping, and advanced manufacturing.

  • Strong hands-on problem-solving ability, curiosity, and comfort working in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, document work accurately, and collaborate across technical teams.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $23.00 to $28.00.
